Glander International Bunkering is pleased to announce that Michael Cammarata has been appointed Managing Director in our Florida office. His appointment marks an important new chapter for the company’s long-standing presence in the region.
Michael is a well-known and highly respected figure in the bunkering industry. He joined the business in 1988. As the son of one of the company’s founders, he has spent his entire career in bunkering. This role represents a professional milestone for him. It also continues a lifelong journey built on the values and traditions that have shaped the brand for decades.
For more than 30 years, Michael has worked closely with Larry Messina. Larry’s leadership has helped shape the Florida office. He has also strengthened relationships across the industry. After 34 years as Managing Director, Larry will step down with full confidence in Michael’s ability to lead the office forward.
“After 34 years leading the office, stepping aside is made easier knowing the business is in Michael’s hands,” said Larry Messina. “He understands this industry, this team, and our customers, and I have complete confidence in his ability to lead the office forward.”
Larry will continue to support the Florida office during the transition. He will remain with Glander International Bunkering until the end of May. He will do so in the role of Manager, New Projects & Strategic Accounts.
Looking ahead, Michael highlighted continuity, customer focus, and growth as key priorities for the Florida office:
