Bunkerspot: Shipping industry players and NGOs looking for signs of progress on IMO’s GHG strategy at next week’s Intersessional Working Group
Throughout 2021, global bunker trading firm Glander International Bunkering has been celebrating its 60th anniversary with year-long activities and tributes. This includes the launch of “Spreading 60 Joys”, a new addition to the company’s portfolio of social responsibility initiatives.
Earlier in the year, all employees at Glander International Bunkering were given a monetary value to donate to their choice of charity or person in need. This corporate giving campaign will be running globally all year.
CEO Carsten Ladekjær said: “Our 60th anniversary comes at a critical time in history, when people worldwide need positivity. ‘Spreading 60 Joys’ is an innovative way that directly enables our staff to choose a cause that is close to their hearts and see the difference they can make. This program successfully diversified our CSR efforts and made more people smile.”
The effects of the “Spreading 60 Joys” campaign has already reached the Kids Sanctuary Campus, the UN Refugee Agency, Smile Train, The Norwegian Cancer Society, Calabrian Children’s Foundation, Save The Children, with more to come throughout the year.
