Glander International Bunkering advances in green fuel with ISCC certificates
- Morten Langthjem promoted to CCO of Glander International Bunkering Group
- Alexandros Margaritis returns to the Dubai office and takes helm as Managing Director
Global bunker trading firm, Glander International Bunkering, announced today the promotion of Morten Langthjem from Managing Director in Dubai to Chief Commercial Officer of the group. The role of Managing Director in Dubai will consequently be filled by Alexandros Margaritis, who rejoins the company to lead the team in its headquarters.
These new appointments reflect the company’s evolving position within a transitional time in maritime. Assuming the company’s first-ever CCO role, Langthjem will be working on business strategy, innovation and development and he will be reporting to Glander International Bunkering’s CEO, Carsten Ladekjær.
Langthjem comments: “Our company has had a fantastic journey so far, and we are ready to develop and execute our new strategy that will further energize our position in the market. I am eager to be part of this process now, while Alexandros will be steering the Dubai team into new ventures and regional growth.”
Margaritis, who had a successful tenure in the Dubai office from 2011 to 2020, is ready to return back home. He says, “I am thrilled to rejoin my old team. I look forward to build on our capabilities and to navigate successfully through future changes in our industry with them.”
