Glander International Bunkering completes first biofuel supply for asphalt tanker
March 8, 2022 – To mark International Women’s Day, leading bunker trading firm Glander International Bunkering launched a campaign to shed light on the need for collective action in achieving gender equality.
With Glander International Bunkering operating in a historically male-dominated industry, the company has made efforts to diversify its workforce.
Compared to the 26% average of women in the bunker industry , women comprise 38% of employees at Glander International Bunkering. The company has also hired 37.5% more women since 2018, with 27% of all promotions given to women since 2019.
In addition, Glander International Bunkering has launched the website Pledge for Her, to start a global conversation that supports women in the industry. Visitors are encouraged to share their own ideas and learn how others will take steps to tackle gender imbalance.
